The toolkit: Targets six areas of safety—infections, falls, medication errors, security, injuries of behavioral health, and patient handling—as required by guidelines of the Facility Guidelines Institute.
Addresses more than potential environmental considerations for the built design. Hospitals can use this tool to evaluate whether they have safe practices in place and to determine which safe practices they may need to implement or expand.
