The battle system, like the other Tales games, is in real time on a 2D plane, and while it's worked in the other games well enough, it's really just tolerable in Tales of Legendia.
The problem is that as you progress in the game, things can become incredibly chaotic. With every character using their flashy special abilities on enemies while yelling their battle cries, it can quickly become a confusing state of affairs. I originally got it because I was under the impression the undub included voices for the CQ, however this does not seem to be the case, so, is it just my copy or is there really no point whatsoever to the undub? Intelligence and respect are all it takes to get along fine. Not a bad trade off, huh? Devhatesyou 11 years ago 2. Undubs are almost always for people who believe "it's better because Japan". Like if you were playing Tales of Eternia or "Destiny II" as it was labeled for the US PS1 release , it might be better if you swap it for voices in a language you do not understand and can't really rate the voice overs of.

Tales of series are pretty much the only series that I love to play with Japanese audio. But anyway the dub in Legendia is pretty great IMO. Devhatesyou 11 years ago 4. What are you talking about. Abyss had a better quality voice cast than this game, and Phantasia was one of those that was so bad it was good and endlessly quoted, like the original Castlevania: SotN.
Though that probably has to do with the fact it was really also poor audio quality since the only official English release of the game we got was on GBA.
