This info maybe helps to solve the problem… Kind regards, Christian. On the desktop where the problem occurs, first RealStats is loaded and then Solver. Maybe this helps. Kind regards and once again many thanks for your great tool! Hi Charles I had the same installation problem in my new notebook that has the latest Excel version installed last weekend but not in my desktop that did not receive the last upgrade yet. It seems there is a conflict with solver but only during start-up, for now I found this workaround: Deactivate realstats, activate solver and close the book and Excel.
Start Excel, open a new book and then activate realstats. Everything works fine Add-ins tab appears in the options ribbon, etc. Before leaving Excel deactivate realstats so as to not get the conflict with solver next time. You can activate realstats again once Excel is running the conflict is only at start-up, at least that is what I found so far.
Thanks for your excellent software! Thanks for sharing this, Gerardo. I have now added an FAQ with your suggestion. If this keeps happening, disable this add-in and check for available updates. Do you want to disable it now? One other thing. Solver must be activated first, before Realstats, or it will cause Excel to crash. Again, this add-in has made Excel so much more useful than it was before—thanks again for all your work on this! Hi Bob. In any case, I will try to investigate this further. Hi Bob, I have just created a macro which I hope provides a temporary fix.
