During the fight, a Tenga manages to dismantle the forcefield's generator, and Rito steals Kat! The villains depart, leaving the Rangers empty handed. In the evil chamber, Rita and Zed laugh over their victory and plan to drown both Ninjor and Kat in the Sea of Sorrow.
With Rito on guard, he is easily deceived and put to sleep, allowing Katherine to escape and get her hands on the Pink Power Coin. Rita enters and calls forth the Tengas, yet Katherine is teleported to safety.
On the balcony, Zedd scolds Rita for mesing everthing up, and she screeches that would like to see him do better. Kat does an impressive dive fro Kat and Tommy, and convinces Kim to go back to gymnastics.
She does so, and presents an amazing performance at the Pan Globals. When she is offered to go to Florida and train, Kim accepts and leaves the Pink Ranger powers to Kat. Rita creates a monster which infiltrates Tommy's body and gives the Ranger's leader an overwhelming desire to eat fast foods.
Katherine, with her usual activist personality, sets out to clean up an old lot and build a homeless shelter, recruiting all of her Ranger buddies to join her. Angry that Katherine had broken the spell, turning out to be a "goody-goody", Rita Repulsa teams with her brother, Rito Revolto, to ruin Katherine's project and deconstruct Angel Grove. After a few battles and the ruin of Katherine's day of work, four of the Rangers are entrapped by Rita's monster, the Brick Bully, but released by Alpha 5 and Zordon.
Billy single handedly destroys Brick Bully, and Katherine receives special recognition for her work. Lord Zedd and Rita transform Kelly, a monkey Kat is teaching to communicate with sign language, into the Sinister Simian, can the Rangers hope to defeat her without harming her? Rita and Rito's father, Master Vile, comes to the moon with a wicked scheme to destroy the Earth using an ancient power source known as the Zeo Crystal.
Tommy faces visions of evil as he makes his way toward the Zeo Crystal in the Caves of Deception, Kat faces an unwilling return to evil, and the other Rangers face Megazord defeat at the slimey hands of the Ninjor-powered Blue Globbor.
But even if they manage to get it and their Zords back, they'll still have to face Globbor, whose power-absorbtion continues to grow. Lord Zedd, determined to destroy the spirit of Christmas, hijacks Santa Clauses' workshop with hopes of sending children everywhere a device that will turn them evil Katherine and Aisha work on thier entrant for a sing song competition to create a new theme for Angel Grove High's radio station, but the arrival of Dischoridia, another ally of Lord Zedds', ensures that Katherine and Aisha get down to a different beat when their bodies are taken over and forced to dance non-stop.
It's Kat's birthday so the other Rangers take her to a surprise outing at a theme park. The Orb's power will make the Earth rotate backwards making everyone on the planet younger. The Rangers try to stop Rito but fail and they become young children. To make matters worse they are powerless.
Their leader, Delphine, agrees to help out Zordon despite great risk to her Rangers' well being, due to their being water-based creatures. At the Command Center, Billy is working on a device which, when powered by the Ranger's Power Coins, will reverse the effects of the Orb of Doom's time-alterations on whoever is bathed in it's energy, this will restore the Rangers to normalacy, meanwhile, at The Moon Palace, Lord Zedd and Rita, back in charge once more with the departure of Master Vile, scheme to defeat the Rangers for good, and the only way to do that is to destroy their Power Coins.
At the park, Billy is working on a Hydro-Atmospheric Generator in hoipes of duplicating the natural water of the Planet Aquitar, therfore allowing the Aquitian Rangers to remain on Earth without abandoning it for re-hydration purposes.
The Aquitians, however, are already weakening, and Billy has to test out the Generator quickly, he and the kid Rangers help the Aquitians to the Angel Grove Lake.
The Aquitians enter the lake, but suddenly, Goldar and Rito attack with the Barbaric Brothers, who contaminate the water, Rito then uses a remote controll device to trap the Aquitians in a forcefield to prevent them escaping from the lake as it becomes awash in poison.
The Kid Rangers are able to gain control of Rito's device by tricking him with a game of tag, wthe Aquitians are released, and they defeat the Barbaric Brothers in a lengthy battle, when thry grow, the Aquitians use the Battle Borgs and the Shogun Megazord.
Lord Zedd is defeated for now, but with the Hydro-Atmospheric Generator destroyed earlier, the Aquitians are forced to return to Aquitar for a full re-hydration, leaving the Earth more vulnerable than ever Meanwhile, Rita and Lord Zedd send Rito and Goldar into the subterranean tunnels underneath the Command Centre, their goal is to set up an implosive device at the end of the tunnel which will reduce the structure to rubble, unfourtuantly, the two bumblers lose the map Back at the Command Centre, Zordon tells the Rangers that the only way to restore thier powers and the world to it's present time is the Zeo Crystal, divided into different sub-sections across time, the Rangers must travel through the ages to locate each segment if they hope to defeat their enemies and save this world Billy and the Aquitians say goodbye to the Kid Rangers as they jump into a time hole to begin their search for the missing sub-sections of the Zeo Crystal.
Cestro begins to weaken from lack of water, and the Aquitians communicate with local aquatic lifeforms to locate a source to replenish their comrade, whilst Lord Zedd calls in an old freind, Witchblade, to ambush Cestro whilst he is defensless, he also generates a forefeild around the Earth to prevent the Aquitians from summoning the Battle Borgs from Aquitar.
Billy seeks out a device he'll need to combine the Zeo Crystal sub-pieces, and ends up webbed-up by Arachnofiend. Meanwhile, Adam journeys to Korea at some point in the past in search of his Zeo Crystal, he seeks out an ancient wiseman known as Kai-Ogi for guidance, but all he runs into is oblivious people and a persistantly annoying old man! Also, the Aquitians discover the joys of walking through a car wash.
Katherine and Tommy each try to retreive thier Zeo sub-crystals, Katherine's good heart is tested by people who look like future versions of herself, and Tommy learns of his Native American heritage from a wise old man called True of Heart, meanwhile, the Aquitians attempt to prevent Lord Zedd and Rita from summoning their sworn enemy, the Hydro Hog, to Earth Lord Zedd and Rita succeed in bringing the Hydro Hog to Earth and the Aquitians are soon brought to their knees as he begins draining all the water on the planet!
Meanwhile, Aisha arrives in Africa searching for the final sub-segment of the Zeo Crystal. On her journey she meets a young girl called Tanya and learns of a crippling famine affecting the land. The Kid Rangers are able to revive the weakened Aquitians. Meanwhile in Africa, Aisha learns that her Zeo sub-crystal is in the possession of Tanya's tribe and that it was foretold that she would arrive to help fight the famine problems affecting the village.
The Rangers' lives are about to be changed forever But soon, they discover not only has the Zeo Crystal been dropped by Rito and Goldar as they fled, but that in an underground tunnel beneath the wreckage, a hidden chamber holds the fate of both Alpha 5 and Zordon. The robotic rulers want the Earth as the last link in a chain of galaxies they've already enslaved.
With their footsoliders, known as Cogs, and their battle machines, called Quadrafighters, they send the former would-be world conquerers packing. The Rangers discover the fate of Zordon, and learn all about the threat of the Machine Empire. As King Mondo launches an attack by testing the Earth's defenses, sending a small group of Cogs to Angel Grove, the Rangers prepare to harness the use of the Zeo Crystal's powerful energies to gain new powers to face the new threat.
But first, Billy makes a decision which will affect both his life, and Tanya's. Tanya's new boyfriend, Shawn, has to pass his exams, or else he won't be captain of the baseball team anymore, but she's shocked when she finds out that he plans to cheat!
Meanwhile, Mondo plans to sabotage the new zords Billy and Alpha are constructing, so that his new monster-machine, the Staroid, can demolish the city! Rocky has a crush on his partner in science class, but she's all about work. When their computer game project gets stolen to be used to program King Mondo's Silo monster, he'll have to deal with both his wrath AND her's! Meanwhile, the Zeo Megazord uses its various Battle Helmets in battle, and it'll need them, when Silo drags the Megazord, with the Zeo Rangers inside, into the outer space, planning to toss them into the sun!
Tommy and Katherine are given a special assignment by their Family Care tutor Mr. Toggle, they have to pretend they are a married couple! Katherine decides to make the assignment a little more "realistic" and borrows the baby son of a family friend, named Joey. Sadly, Joey proves to be a nightmare for both Tommy and Kat in more ways than one when his voice is increased ten fold by the sound amplifier of the evil BooHoo The Clown, resulting in massive tremors whenever the baby cries.
Stone, he sticks them with the task of handing out textbooks! Tanya's boyfriend Shawn, as previously revealed, is the star player of Angel Grove High's baseball team. His ego takes a tumble when Tanya discovers she's a natural at pitching, so good that all of the attention he normally gets turns on her!
King Mondo, inspired by this episode's baseball theme, unleashes the People Pitcher monster. Kat trains a police dog, Smokey, to be a search and rescue dog for her civics class. Her training ends up saving her own life when she gets trapped by the Machine Empire. They convert the bot into the Puppet Blaster monster, and use him to brainwash the kids into going on a riot, not to mention acting as human shields when the Zeo Rangerss attempt to put a stop to the misdeeds. Stone's nephew for the day, a brat who doesn't need a ray to make him make their life a living nightmare!
They'll have to fight against the script, and a gang-full of monsters, to change the movie as it occurs around them. Billy, by way of having too many credits, graduates a year early. He's stunned by this, but plans for his future are put on hold when Cestro the Blue Alien Ranger returns from Aquitar, in need of Billy's expertise in devising a way to stop the Hydro Contaminators from polluting his watery homeworld.
Stone spots them! Rocky's strange botany experiment, a plant that eats metal, and Skull's own one made from swiping part of his, get turned into a pair of Plant Monsters by the Machine Empire.
One of which, the Pollenator, sprays its creator with a pollen that causes Rocky to turn into a living vegetable! There's a mysterious piano player at Angel Grove High, playing expertly after school. King Mondo desires to capture this person, as a gift for Queen Machina's birthday.
Meanwhile, Adam, who gets stuck with Skull in music class, also takes an interest in the mystery of the piano player, attempting to both discover his identity, and keep the forces of evil from kidnapping him. The school's piano is turned into the Fortissimodo monster, making Adam's tasks even tougher.
The Machine Empire, by way of the Mean Screen monster, plans to unleash a virus on the computer systems of Angel Grove. It'll take help from the High School's computer wiz Raymond to disinfect this dastardly plot! Stone assigns them to help out during a traffic jam because of the computer crisis.
But which will prevail, their eagerness to do a good job, or their inability to remember the location? Billy's on his way back to Earth from Aquitar. But the Machine Empire wants to make sure he doesn't survive the trip through space.
The Zeo Rangers will have to pull out all the stops to get him safely home, and take on the Mechanizer monster. Tommy receives a "Dear John" letter from Kimberly from Florida, informing him that she's fallen in love with another guy. Of course, some Cogs come along to endanger Heather and just plain ruin their fun! Meanwhile, Mondo creates Robocupid, and causes humans all over Angel Grove to fall in love with machines!
Tommy's budding romance with Heather gets rudely interrupted when he and Kat are called back to Angel Grove to deal with Robocupid. Once she's taken care of, it's back to the mountains! But the Machine Empire's next creation, Defoliator, is on the scene, turning up the heat in Angel Grove, making it unbareably hot in the middle of winter.
Can Tommy juggle a possible love-rebound and save the world at the same time? Defoliator proves to be a tough creature to keep down, and repeatedly interrupts Tommy's attempts to get to know Heather. Kat even sets up a date for the pair at the Youth Center, but Ranger-duty cuts into their time together. He loses out on the snowboarding champ, but might just have something going right under his nose with a certain Pink Ranger Stone's prize-winning flowers during the day of both the sweltering heat, and a visit by the garden committee!
Tommy's having strange dreams, reminding him of his encounter with True Of Heart during the Zeo Quest. This restlessness for answers to his riddles becomes a central issue, for when the Zeo Megazord is crippled in battle with an energy-leeching Main Drain monster, Tommy must put his emotions in order to successfully pilot the new Red Battlezord.
But will an oddly familiar indian man named Sam Trueheart hold the key to Tommy's inner calmness, by directing him to a secret from his past? Tommy goes on a vision quest, seeking out the other half of the arrowhead he was given in "Sowing The Seas Of Evil.
It all works out, as Tommy finds the solution to his spiritual unrest when he meets a man who claims to be his brother! David Trueheart, Tommy's long lost brother, immediately hits it off with his similar-looking sibling, though seems to be overly sensitive when they compare martial arts skills.
If that wasn't bad enough, the Mace Face monster attacks, proving to be too powerful for the Rangers' Zords. While the Rangers are still trying to get the hang of pulling together the Zeo Megazord and Red Battlezord, Maceface remains at large.
King Mondo, now with the combined arrowhead halves, prepares to make use of their great powers. Tommy's brother David remains captive in a cave beneath the Native American Reservation, which soon spawns a monster from an ancient evil spirit known as Autochthon. Meanwhile, Lt. All eyes are on a girl named Penny at a Martial Arts Expo being held at the Youth Center, who is not only an expert at karate, but visually impaired!
Rocky becomes attracted to her, but finds getting close to the stubbornly independent blind teen to be tough. Meanwhile, the Defector monster, created from the scrap parts of previous destroyed robots, pretends to want to leave the Machine Empire to join the side of good. The Zeo Rangers buy it, but are in for a deadly surprise! Stone as they break out a variety of disguises in an undercover test. He dreams of his teammates and friends in various classic monster movie roles Tommy as a vampire, Rocky as a werewolf, Lt.
Stone as a German mayor, Bulk as a mummy and Skull as the archeologist cursed by him, Kat as a witch, Billy as a mad scientist, Alpha as his assistant, Tanya as his creation, and Zordon as an evil wizard. Unable to find the words to ask her to the Toy Donation Charity dance, he seeks out advice from several of the Ranger teens, repeatedly changing his image to try to impress Connie.
But will he and Skull go too far, and put their jobs on the Junior Police Patrol in jeopardy? Tanya films a music video with the help of Adam and Rocky. Her impressive singing catches the ear of a music executive, who wants to make her a star.
Will she choose life as Ranger over a big time career as a singer? Meanwhile, Prince Sprocket gets a giant Wrecking Ball monster for his birthday. Also, Lt. Adam's competing in a karate tournament against Shawn, Tanya's ex-boyfriend, who's got a new gal in the form of snobby Veronica.
Shawn discovers an invisibility device left over from the Machine Empire's latest scheme, and plans to use it to cheat against Adam in the contest. Meanwhile, the Rangers face Admiral Abominator, who's preparing a fleet of battleships in Angel Grove forest.
They appear to be stretched too thin, giving the villains an advantage, when suddenly, a mysterious and powerful pyramid emerges from hyperspace, and bringing with it another Zeo powered Ranger.
But who is he, and whose side is he on? They end up running into Prince Sprocket, who shrinks them down to mere inches-high size! The two Rangers are left to fend off a normal-sized but giant to them tarantula, who serves as the inspiration for the evil Tarantabot monster their teammates end up facing. One of them finds gold of a Ranger-kind instead! Kat, Tommy, and his brother David are participating in a surfing contest, which gives the Machine Empire the idea to send down Leaky Faucet to pollute the waters of Angel Grove with deadly, toxic, Cog oil!
Stone the most important skill a detective should know: how to make a good cup of java. After two weeks of constant Cog attacks by the Machine Empire, the Zeo Rangers are run ragged, exhausted by both their superhero duties and those of their normal life. Having gotten them to a weakened, sleep-deprived state, King Mondo sends down the Somnibot monster, whose lullaby spell-singing manages to exploit this achilles heel. Can the Gold Ranger wake them in time? The mystery of the Gold Ranger's true identity intensifies when Borax, a member of the bounty hunter race known as the Vorax, arrives on Earth targeting the Ranger's new ally with savage intent.
King Mondo sees great promise in an alliance with the Vorax, and offers to help him defeat and ensnare the Gold Ranger. The Varox bounty hunters finally manage to take down Pyramidas, causing it to crashland on Aquitar.
The Gold Ranger, rescued by two familiar Aliens, has his identity finally revealed to the Zeo Rangers. With his health declining, they have to aid his arrival on Earth to seek out a new host for his powers, while the Machine Empire tries to prevent his surviving the trip.
Time's almost up for the Gold Ranger powers! With the Zeo Crystal and much of the Power Chamber's power devoted to stablizing the Golden Power Staff, Tommy attempts to sneak the next candidate for becoming the Gold Ranger to the Power Chamber safely on foot, but the Machine Empire catches wind of this and attacks the defenseless pair of humans.
King Mondo revives some old monsters, upgraded with impenetrable armor, though Trey has a few parting gifts for the Rangers to even the score. As the Zeo Teens quickly warm up to their new teammate, Rocky find himself feeling left out and rejected by them.
When King Mondo comes to Earth to retrieve a massively powerful sword, so he can destroy our heroes personally, the Blue Ranger faces the giant Machine Empire ruler alone in an attempt to prove himself. They suspect it might be Jason! Meanwhile, Ernie opens a new beach club cafe, which gains the ire of a group of biker punks, claiming it's their turf.
Jason befriends the main bully's misunderstood girlfriend, Emily, whose necklace gets turned into Louie's first monster, Tough Tusks!
Skull is assigned to protect the top model, and accidentally makes things worse for her by dumping a bottle of the overwhelming fragrence on her. Stenchy monster, a robotic skunk who aims to make the Zeo Rangers stink so bad that they won't be able to stand one another. Meanwhile, Billy tracks an undentified object approaching Earth from outer space, accompanied by a distress signal from Trey warning them of their planet being in danger!
After getting a package from Aisha containing a strange golden key and a map of Mysterio Island, the last known location of her long-lost parents, Tanya goes on a quest to reunite with her mother and father.
But Louie Kaboom has beaten her to them, leaving the Sloans to perish in the dangerous island caves, after swiping their goal, the legendary Tiki of Auric. Jason, entrusted with the key by Tanya, loses it to Louie, who uses the item to unlock the tiki, unleashing the mighty Auric the Conquerer. He fails to persuade the Zord-sized do-gooding warrior to destroy the Earth for him, so it's up to Prince Sprocket to trick the naive Auric into believing the Zeo Rangers are evil.
Meanwhile, despite getting his last one crushed under the foot of a monster, Det. They're overcome with greed, until the hound starts turning literally everything into gold, including Jason! An endless series of practical jokes are being played on the students of Angel Grove High.
The couple has returned to the Machine Empire after an estranged absence, planning to rid the kingdom of usurper Louie Kaboom. Archerina's love-spell arrow sends Louie on a kamikaze mission against the Zeo Rangers.
Determined to prove that he can take control of the Machine Empire in his father's place, Prince Gasket captures Tommy while he's out testing his uncle's prototype waverunner. The now-leaderless Rangers are oblivious to his fate, and their attempts to track him are hindered by the Cruel Chrome monster, created from Det. Prince Gasket brainwashes his prisoner Tommy, and convinces him that he's the ruler of the Machine Empire, which opposes the "evil" Zeo Rangers.
The Gold Ranger, trapped in an arena filled with spectator monsters, faces Altor, a monster drawing on Tommy's brainwaves for fighting techniques. Can Tommy be broken from the spell in time before he's turned to the dark side completely?
Believing himself to be the king of the Machine Empire, Tommy prepares to face Jason in the arena. The other Rangers try to join his side, but are unable to, until they get help from an unlikely source, their old enemies, who are now the enemy of their new enemies. What seems to be a normal, uneventful day turns out to be something far more sinister, when it repeats not once, but twice! Tommy thanks to his recent brain-tampering is the only one to notice the continuous loop, but his awareness may be too late, as he and the Rangers discover it's all been a plot by Prince Gasket and Archerina, using a time-device called Chronosapios and guarded by the Protectron monster, to give them enough time to amass a huge fleet of Quadrafighters above the city.
At a vast and spooky mansion, Det. Stone hosts a costume "who-done-it" mystery for the retired detectives fund charity , which the six Zeo Teens take part in. Prince Gasket begins to isolate and imprison each of the Rangers thinking it part of the game , one by one, until only Kat remains, so that she and the pink-with-envy Archerina can duel in the forest.
When the stakes are raised, and the Nuklifier monster is added to the mix, who can come to her aid? In need of help with his music class assignment, Tommy seeks voice lessons from Tanya.
Queen Machina casts a spell on the two Zeo Teens, which forces the pair to sing operatically everything they try to say. Meanwhile, Prince Gasket wants to assure his rightful place as ruler of the Machine Empire. He turns Det. While most of the Rangers are busy with that, Gasket launches a full scale invasion on Angel Grove! The effects of an old invention of Billy's comes back to haunt him, when he finds himself growing rapidly older! Cestro and Delphine arrive from Aquitar in an attempt to help restore his proper age, but can they beat his broken internal clock in time?
Meanwhile, Rita Repulsa, while trying to turn Kat into a monster, accidentally morphs her failed art project into the Impursonator. Not to be outdone, the recently repaired King Mondo unleashes the Cog-Changer, who turns the Rangers' weapons against them. Added help by the Aquitian Rangers may aid in the fight, but no matter what the Rangers do, the old, gray Billy's time on this Earth is numbered With this event planned, Tommy finally gets up the courage to ask Kat out on a date to it.
To make matters worse, Jason starts to have trouble with his morphing powers To save Jason, Trey is summoned from Triforia to aid in safely reclaiming the Gold Ranger powers, a risky manuever which involves planetary alignment, and may just unify his three halves together again.
King Mondo will make this even tougher for the Zeo Rangers, as he and his Cogs face them in the biggest battle of them all! Stone, whose detective agency is dangerously low on business. A familiar old man, at a Christmas in the far future, tells his grandson the tale of a time when the Machine Empire used the Bias Blaster to turn the Zeo Teens' cultural differences against one another while taking part in the Youth Center's Holiday Celebration.
Divatox brings her Subcraft and her evil crew of monsters back to Earth, intent on making the Power Rangers pay for ruining her wedding plans with Maligore by ruining their lives. It just so happens that Adam, Tanya, and Kat are graduating from Angel Grove High today Tommy got his diploma early and is helping his uncle on his stock car racing crew , and use the time to bring fellow graduate and former Ranger Rocky and the viewers who missed the Turbo Movie up to speed on their adventure on Muranthius.
With his teammates busy with the most important day of their teenaged lives, Justin is alone as the Blue Turbo Ranger to defend the plant!
Whilst Justin fights on his own against Elgar and an army of Piranahtrons at the power plant, with the detonator still counting down nearby, Divatox and her P-Trons attack Adam, Tanya, and Kat while they're on their way to their graduation ceremony.
